We are delighted to welcome Peter Tree SC to our list.
Following his admission to the Brisbane Bar in 1989, Peter practised in a wide range of litigation and mediation, primarily comprising commercial disputes and common law claims, but also including family law, crime, and personal injury cases. After taking Silk in 2004, Peter continued to enjoy a broad practice at both an appellate and trial level.
In 2013, Peter was appointed to the Family Court of Australia, and in 2019 assigned to that Court’s appeal division. In 2024 he was made an acting judge of the Family Court of Western Australia to preside over a long-running and complex property case.
Since 2025, Peter has returned to the Bar, focusing on conducting mediations throughout Australia, but is also available to provide advice within areas of his expertise.
