We are delighted to welcome Peace Decle to our list.
Since 2002, Peace has practiced as a lawyer in Victoria and NSW, initially as a solicitor, and since 2019 as a barrister. At the Bar, the majority of Peace’s practice is in family law, but she also regularly conducts mediations and practices in estate law, children’s welfare, and family violence matters. Peace has a broad interest in a range of areas of law and is happy to discuss taking briefs outside her usual practice areas.
In 2016, Peace was recognised by the NSW Law Society for her specialised knowledge in Family Law.
In 2017, Peace was recognised by the NSW Law Society for her specialised knowledge in Children’s Law (Child Representation).
In 2024, Peace was appointed as a part-time Senior Member of the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal, in the Administrative & Equal Opportunity Division and she hears cases in a wide range of areas including revenue, equal opportunity, foster care, working with children check, liquor licensing and firearms.
In 2025, Peace achieved national accreditation as a Mediator by Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators.
Peace has appeared in the Appeal Division of Division 1 of the Federal Circuit & Family Court, both Divisions 1 and 2 of the Federal Circuit & Family Court, the Federal Court, the NSW Supreme Court, the NSW District Court, the NSW Children’s Court, and NSW Local Court.
In her practice, Peace appears in a variety of regional and city registries of the Federal Circuit & Family Court including Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Brisbane, Lismore, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Sydney, Parramatta, and Melbourne.
