Tim is an experienced advocate accepting all briefs in criminal, quasi-criminal matter and family law.
Tim accepts both defence and prosecution briefs in all courts and tribunals in Victoria. Tim regularly appears in both the summary and indictable jurisdictions at any stage of the proceedings.
Tim also accepts briefs in intervention order proceeding, coronial inquests and occupational health and safety inquires.
Tim provides both written advice and appears in administrative law matters in Judicial Review proceedings, arising from decisions of the Magistrates’ Court, Boards and Tribunals.
In family law, Tim regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family
Court of Australia in relation to parenting and property proceedings. Tim appears in both final and interim defended hearings and in mediations on behalf of an individual party.
Tim comes to the bar with extensive experience as an advocate in criminal law.
Prior to coming to the bar Tim spent four years as a prosecutor at Victoria Police. He appeared regularly in the Magistrates’ Court and Children’s Court at all stages of criminal proceedings.
In addition to his legal qualifications, Tim also has a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University, a Graduate Certificate in Police Prosecution and a Diploma of Public Safety (Policing).
