Tania accepts briefs in all areas of criminal and family law including family violence and intervention order matters.
Tania has extensive experience as an advocate appearing in hundreds of criminal jury trials and contested matters in all courts within Victoria (and interstate). She regularly advises on matters with a particular focus on serious sexual offending including but not limited to, cases involving incest and child complainants. She also advises on serious drug matters, both State and Commonwealth.
Tania also practices in family law, appearing in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in respect of parenting and property proceedings. She is experienced in all matters related to Intervention Order proceedings pursuant to the Family Violence Protection Act and the Personal Safety Intervention Orders Act. Appearing for Applicants, Respondents and clients charged with Contraventions of Intervention Orders.
Prior to the Bar, Tania was an Associate to Justice Coghlan. She was also a Solicitor at the Office of Public Prosecutions for 7 years, and most recently in-house counsel at a leading criminal law firm.
Tania is a current member of the Family Law Bar Association; Criminal Bar Association; and the Women Barristers’ Association.
