Stacey accepts briefs in all areas of criminal law and quasi-criminal law including intervention order matters.
Stacey commenced her career as a solicitor advocate at James Dowsley and Associates in their Frankston office. She maintained carriage of both summary and indictable files and appeared daily across suburban and regional Magistrates’ Courts, and in the County Court for appeal hearings.
Stacey then worked at Leanne Warren and Associates where she had carriage of a number of complex indictable files including serious sexual offences. After passing the bar exam and prior to the Readers’ Course, Stacey worked for Ajak and Associates where she engaged with clients from a range of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
During her first 12 months at the bar, Stacey appeared as Junior Counsel in two murder trials. Stacey regularly appears in the County Court for plea hearings, and in the Magistrates’ Court for contested criminal matters.
