Richard accepts briefs in all areas of Criminal Law.

Richard did his first criminal defence trial in 1998 when he worked as a Public Defender at Victoria Legal Aid. He regularly appeared in committals, pleas, trials and appeals in his 10 years at VLA.

He was an Accredited Criminal Law Specialist before coming to the Bar.

Prior to working at VLA Richard was a solicitor at the Office of Public Prosecutions for 3 years.

Richard was Counsel for the Appellant in Fuller v The Queen [2013] VSCA 186 and MGP v The Queen [2011] VSCA 321.

Richard is a member of the Criminal Bar Association.
