Patrick has practised as a barrister for 45 years, almost exclusively in the criminal jurisdiction as a defence advocate in Victoria and interstate. He has extensive experience in trials and hearings of all types, complexity and jurisdictions.

Small matters can be the most important and gratifying for Patrick, not just the larger cases. He strongly believes that achieving the fair and proper outcome is paramount whatever the matter. He approaches cases with pragmatism and social justice at the forefront. 

Patrick enjoys engaging with clients and their families and striving for practical solutions, especially through strategic negotiation.

After 45 years as a barrister at the Victorian Bar, Patrick’s knowledge of the courts and judicial officers gives a depth to his judgment. 

Patrick has regularly appeared in a wide variety of criminal cases, including:

– Hearings in the Magistrates’ Court, County Court, Children’s Court, Supreme Court and VCAT

Throughout his career, Patrick has also appeared in trials in the County and Supreme Court.
