ProfileMaureen commenced practice in March 1979 as a solicitor in all facets of criminal law, family law and children’s court and personal injuries. At the Bar she continues her diverse interests in all courts, but most regularly in the Family Court, VCAT, County Court and Magistrates’ Courts. She has conducted Trials in the Children’s Court and Family Court and Appeals in the County Court. Maureen has held various counselling positions over her time in practice and therefore brings to the Bar an attitude that is informed by practical experience and an understanding of the demands of individuals both within and outside of organisations. She has held a position as a Resident tutor at Newman College in Family Law and Constitutional and Administrative Law. Additional Areas of Interest include: Mental Health, Human Rights, Immigration and Migration.
