Madeleine accepts briefs in all areas of criminal law at regional and metropolitan courts.

Madeleine also accepts briefs in family law, intervention order proceedings and both the criminal division and the family division of the Children’s Court.

Prior to joining the bar, Madeleine worked as a senior lawyer at Victoria Legal Aid where she managed and appeared in a broad range of summary and indictable matters. Madeleine gained experience appearing in the Magistrates’ Court, Children’s Court and County Court of Victoria.

Madeleine previously worked in private practice at Docherty Legal in Bendigo where she gained experience in criminal law, family law, intervention orders and both divisions of the Children’s Court.

Madeleine has experience in Therapeutic Courts including in the Koori Court and ARC (Magistrates’ Court jurisdiction).

Madeleine is the President of the Bendigo Law Association and a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
