John is a former police prosecutor and for seven years  was the Officer in Charge of the Research and Training Section of the Prosecutiuons Division of the Victoria Police Force.

John for over 20 years was a Senior Instructor  at the Leo Cussen Institute in the areas of criminal law, evidence and advocacy.

John for many years instructed at the Victoria Bar Readers  Course.

John specialises in traffic and criminal law.

John is the co-author of Motor and Traffic  Law – Victoria [Lexis Nexis]
