Ek exclusively practises in Family Law, including matrimonial or de-facto relationships dealing with property and parenting matters.

Ek appears in both Division 1 and Division 2 of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, as well as in intersecting family-related matters in the state jurisdictions. In addition to court appearances, Ek’s practice involves Mediation. As a Nationally Accredited Mediator, Ek conducts mediations at his Chambers or at other external locations.

While Ek primarily practices in Victoria, he also accepts briefs to appear at interstate registries.

With over a decade of experience at the Bar, Ek has had the honour of being nominated as a Mentor for two Readers who also practice in Family Law.

Prior to joining the Bar, Ek worked as a solicitor at a general practice law firm, focusing primarily on property and parenting matters.

Additionally, Ek is fluent in Persian/Farsi.
