From 1985 to 1999, Bruno was the principal of Bruno Kiernan & Associates and then senior partner of Kiernan Bryant & Bourke. In 2000 Bruno completed an MBA at Melbourne Business School (Melbourne University) and in 2003 joined leading family law firm Carew Counsel. At Carew Counsel, Bruno had the carriage of children’s and property cases and obtained registration as a Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) practitioner.

Since coming to the Bar in 2007, Bruno has continued to practise exclusively in the family law jurisdiction appearing in interim and trial hearings in the Federal Circuit & Family Court of Australia. He is also an accredited mediator with the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators & Mediators (AIFLAM).

Bruno is a member of the Family Law Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and speaks regularly at seminars and conferences on developments in case law in the family law jurisdiction.
