Alison is an Accredited Family Law Specialist. She accepts briefs to appear in and advise on all matters in family law and related jurisdictions. She appears regularly in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria.
Before coming to the bar, Alison was a Special Counsel at Blackwood Family Lawyers. She has practised as a solicitor in Family Law since 2010.
She has broad experience handling a wide variety of family law matters, including:
- Complex property proceedings, including trust and company structures.
- Farming disputes.
- Inheritances.
- Interstate and overseas relocations.
- Acting as an Independent Children’s Lawyer.
- Acting in parenting matters where significant safety issues pose a risk to children.
- Spousal maintenance.
- Family violence.
Alison appears for clients in criminal law matters. She advises and appears in wills and probate applications, and in cases involving testator family maintenance claims.
Alison has a background in acting for parents in child support matters, including cases in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and at the Administrative Review Tribunal.
Alison is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and the Law Institute of Victoria.
Alison is currently reading with Dan Sweeney and her senior mentor is Minal Vohra SC.
