Vince practises criminal law.
In his first year of legal practice, he appeared unled in a successful pre-trial argument in the County Court on the seizure of a commercial quantity of methylamphetamine, as well as an application for bail in the Supreme Court.
During his second year, he was selected for WorkSafe Victoria’s Regulatory and Enforcement List.
He appeared led in the Supreme Court of Appeal in a successful appeal against conviction regarding the elements of conspiracy to defraud at common law, and began to appear in trials.
He delivered his first address to a jury under the leadership of Andrew Moore.
Coming into his third year, Vince resisted the permanent stay of a prosecution into historical sex offending connected with the broader Church.
Prior to coming to the Bar, he lectured and tutored in Criminal Law & Procedure at Victoria University, where he completed a Ph.D. on the law of self-defence and expert evidence of family violence.
He was subsequently the Associate to Her Honour Judge Syme in the Criminal Division of the County Court of Victoria.
Outside of practice, he assists Victoria University and Deakin University with the delivery of Criminal Law and has trained as an instructor for the Victorian Bar Readers’ Course assessments.
He is a lead guitarist with a love for blues, jazz, and metal.
