Kate specialises in Family Law. She appears regularly in Divisions 1 and 2 of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Kate has extensive Trial experience, appearing particularly in complex parenting matters.

Kate is a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner accredited by the Attorney-General’s Department (Cth). Accordingly, she is authorised to issue certificates pursuant to section 60I of the Family Law Act 1975.

Kate is a member of the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators (AIFLAM), the Family Law Bar Association, and the Women’s Barristers Association.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Kate practiced as a solicitor exclusively in all areas of Family Law (including Intervention Order matters). Kate has worked in all facets of practice – private practice, in the community legal sector, and at Victoria Legal Aid. During her time as a solicitor, Kate appeared regularly as both solicitor advocate and as duty lawyer.
