Jervis accepts briefs in all areas of criminal law at all metropolitan and regional courts.

He also accepts briefs in quasi-criminal matters including intervention order proceedings and traffic offences, inquiries, coronial inquests, occupational health and safety matters, and sports law.

Jervis formally practiced as an Associate at Emma Turnbull Lawyers where he had conduct of a broad range of summary and serious indictable criminal matters.

As an Associate, he appeared daily in the Magistrates’ and Children’s Courts and appeared regularly in the County Court for plea hearings, sentence appeals and CCO contraventions. He instructed in County Court and Supreme Court trials, and in several Court of Appeal matters.

Jervis is reading with Daniel Sala. His senior mentor is Julian McMahon AC SC.

Jervis is currently undertaking the March 2025 Victorian Bar Readers’ Course. Upon successful completion of the course, he will sign the Bar Roll on Thursday, 10 April 2025 and is able to accept briefs from Friday, 11 April onwards.
