Prior to coming to the bar, Emily was a Senior Lawyer at Women’s Legal Service where she practiced primarily in family law. Emily has regularly appeared in the Family Court of Australia, Federal Circuit Court, Children’s Court (family division) and Magistrates’ Court in family law parenting and property matters, family violence intervention order and child protection proceedings.
Emily’s areas of expertise are informed by her background as the Principal Lawyer at Inner Melbourne Community Legal, where she practiced in family law and crime. She also has experience in administrative law and litigation as a result of working at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office.
Emily was admitted to practice in 2008.
