Britt is a barrister specialising in criminal law and regulatory matters.

She spent the first few years of her career at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) focusing on corporate compliance and breaches of director’s duties.

Immediately before coming to the bar, Britt worked as a senior criminal solicitor advocate at the Law and Advocacy Centre for Women (LACW), and before that the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service (VALS).

Britt is also available to appear in quasi-criminal matters (such as intervention orders) and proceedings in the Coroner’s Court.

She appears at all stages of summary criminal cases including contested hearings and in the Children’s Court. She has particular experience in Koori Court proceedings. She regularly appears in the County Court for appeals, pleas and bail applications, and has appeared in bail applications in the Supreme Court.

Britt is reading with John Moore. Her senior mentor is Julie Condon KC.

Britt is currently undertaking the September 2026 Victorian Bar Readers’ Course. Upon successful completion, she will sign the Bar Roll on Thursday, 24 September 2026 and will be available to accept briefs starting Monday, 28 September.
