Alice completed her Arts and Law degrees at Monash University in 1993. She worked as a research associate for his Honour Justice Kay of the Family Court in 1994 and commenced with Hogg and Reid, solicitors in 1995. She was admitted to practice in 1996, and has practiced in the area of Family Law, undertaking a wide range of cases involving property, children, domestic partnerships, superannuation, child support, spousal maintenance, family violence, Hague Convention applications and Magellan matters. She has also acted as an Independent Children's Lawyer in a number of cases.

Alice completed her Masters of Laws in 2002, undertaking subjects in Family Law, Criminal Law, Law of the Internet, Native Title and Human Rights. She has lectured at the Leo Cussen Insititue in Family Law for the last two years.

Alice has considerable Court experience and has appeared in many matters in the Family Court, the Federal Magistrates' Court, the Supreme Court and the Magistrates’ Court.
