Scott joined the Bar after more than a decade of experience as an advocate in the criminal law field. His professional experience includes several years at the Office of Public Prosecutions appearing as Counsel in trials, pleas, appeals and inquests, before joining the North Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service where he appeared as defence counsel in trial and appellate matters. From 2001 to 2003 he was a Senior Public defender with the Criminal Law Division of Victoria Legal Aid. Scott's practice at the Bar is predominantly criminal trial work but also includes appellate and judicial review matters, OHS, and coronial hearings.
