Shaun has a broad range of legal experience, with a particular focus on criminal trial work.
Shaun completed articles with the commercial firm Macpherson & Kelley solicitors, and practiced in property law, town planning, and general commercial matters.
Subsequently, Shaun worked in a criminal defence practice with Haines and Polites, and then the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service.
Since coming to the bar, Shaun has had extensive experience as Counsel in criminal trials and appeals - including complex fraud and drug matters, as well as sexual offences tried using the special hearing procedures.
Shaun has continued to be involved in civil law work, and has a particular interest in matters (both civil and criminal) affected by the recently enacted Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities.
